Charles Binder

Committed to Doing the Right Thing

Most desks have pictures of family or pets. Charles Binder’s desk has a picture of The Lone Ranger. “He didn’t have superpowers—he simply did the right thing,” Charles explains. This same principle guides Charles and his brother, Harry, at Binder Law Firm, where their priority is advocating passionately for clients in need.

One case in particular illustrates Charles’s commitment: a young woman born without ears who faced years of bullying and isolation. Denied disability benefits, she turned to Charles. Despite numerous challenges, he fought tirelessly for five years until she secured the benefits and Medicare coverage she needed. The Lone Ranger would have been proud.

Outside the office, Charles enjoys rooting for his beloved New York Rangers and Yankees—though his stories of catching baseballs at Yankee Stadium may get better with each telling. Known from TV commercials as “the guy in the hat,” Charles is a Georgetown University Law graduate dedicated to making a genuine difference in people’s lives—just like the hero whose photo inspires him every day.

Harry Binder

Passionate from the Very Start

Harry Binder has always embraced challenges—especially when they help people in need. On May 19, 1975, Harry was working late at his small office in Patchogue, New York, when a discouraged former firefighter knocked on his door. Injured, disabled, and nearly penniless after being denied Social Security Disability benefits, the firefighter asked Harry directly: “Are you a Social Security expert?” Harry’s response was honest and determined: “Not tonight, but give me a week.” He immediately dove into the law books, and a lifelong commitment was born.

From that small beginning, Harry and his brother Charles built the Binder Law Firm, dedicated to helping people access Social Security Disability benefits through their compassionate, client-focused approach—always doing things “Better and Nicer.”

Outside the office, Harry enjoys racquetball, golf, traveling to support his beloved New York Rangers, and blasting classic doo-wop music loud enough for everyone nearby to hear. A graduate of City College of New York and Cornell Law School, Harry is proudly married—“for a very long time”—and has five children...so far.
